Our Story

Thetaco Traders Ltd was established in 1992, to distribute Balay electrical appliances in Cyprus and the Middle East. Some years later Balay S.A – the renowned Spanish manufacturer with a 40% market share in the Iberian markets, was acquired by Bosch/Siemens/Hausgeräte and the Middle East project was terminated.

In the meantime, Thetaco Traders Ltd assumed responsibility for the distribution of prime European brands and established a dominant position in the importation, distribution and support of home appliances in the Cyprus market.

Thetaco Traders Ltd established a wide network of clients with a presence in all categories of shops ie. Chains, independent shops, supermarkets, DIY, department stores, etc. Thetaco is taking pride in being the first company in Cyprus to expand its distribution network to include all categories of shops and therefore develop a holistic approach to the distributors of electric appliances.

Our People

In Thetaco (Traders) Ltd we believe that the greatest asset of the company is its people. We have long realized that companies that have the right personnel have a competitive advantage and that the proper management and training of human resources is vital to maintain high performance.

Therefore, the culture at Thetaco is one of openness, cooperation and constant improvement. The individual departments operate as teams with the sole aim to execute the required tasks as efficiently and as effectively possible.

We believe that the development of human resources is very important and must be implemented in order to improve individual and corporate performance.
